The Sydney Emeralds helped host the Hancock Prospecting Age Group and Open National championships at the historic Sydney Olympic Park on April 24-26th, 2015. It was the largest nationals ever with 146 participants and participants representing 6 different countries across the APAC region.
Sydney Emeralds were honoured to host the event in which Gina Rinehart, a Sponsor of Synchro Australia through the Georgia Hope foundation, dropped by to watch the outstanding performances. Other highlights included exhibition performances from the Australian National Team and hourly prize give aways from the sponsor Meadore.
Sydney Emeralds had several momentous performances claiming a total of 4 medals.
Duet 13-15 – 2nd place Erica Li, Jodie Ah Chong and Kiera Gazzard
Solo 13-15 – 3rd place Kiera Gazzard
Solo 13-15 – 4th place Jodie Ah Chong
Duet Open Category – 2nd place – Susy Walter and Vicki Nagyova.
Open Combo – 3rd place Australia. Team members are: Diana Abaie, Jodie Ah Chong, Jemima Creswick, Kiera Gazzard, Pam, Kurosawa, Erica Li, Tasha Lim, Vicki Nagyova, Genevieve Parsons, Susy Walter.
Congrats to all the Swimmers! The girls are now getting back to training for the Hancock Prospecting Commonwealth Festival of Synchro in Perth on September 1-5th, 2015.
