It is that time of the year again in which we open our pre-competitive team for interest to our members. The pre-competitive team is designed as a gentle introduction towards the competitive program. The big change between Pre-Competitive and recreational is that the girls swim 2x per week. You will expect the girls to gain a lot of strength and coordination in the water and the girls will be asked to create a strong synchro routine.
We are continuing to grow and adapt our programs, we have decided to be flexible with the precomp program. The girls are welcome to join any 2 of the following days starting next Term starting October 9th ;
- Monday MLC pool – 6:30-8:30pm
- Friday Cook and Philip Pool: 5:00-7:00pm (please note pool entry fees apply to this pool)
- Saturday Monte Sante Angelo – 12:00-2:30pm
We offer this program in Term 4 and Term 1 at a cost of $400 per term.
We can’t wait to get started!

Our members stepped up to the plate last weekend and did an outstanding job volunteering our annual Sausage Sizzle at Bunnings in Chatswood. The club raised just under $2,000 that will be put towards new equipment.
Thank you members, you did an outstanding job. Special thanks to Damien for donating chocolates and give-aways.

And the Emeralds provided just that at the Breakfast point country club last week. The girls wowed the audience in bright red suits and beautiful flower caps. The theme of the party was 1960’s summer fun.
The Emeralds performers train at the competitive level which is very technical and complex. The swimmers are required move very fast close to other swimmers while holding their breaths. However, the summer 60’s performance was very different, it is all about recreating the classic style of the sport from over 50 year ago. The first synchronised swimmer is in fact an Australian from Marrickville named Annette Kellerman. The Emeralds didn’t have any swings or glass bowls but these pictures proved the Emeralds did justice to the original classic synchro style.
Feel free to message us if you are looking for synchronised swimmers to perform at your next event.
Term 1 starts January 31st and continues until April 7th, 2017. We have an exciting term with our annual state competition and our competitive teams heading to the Australian National competition in April.
