Coaches

Our coaches are the heart and soul of our club. We are always looking for more coaching staff – email sydneysynchroclub@gmail.com if you are interested.

Vicki (Vladka) Nagyova
Vicki is the fearless head coach of the Sydney Emeralds. Vicki started her training in Slovakia, her home country. She moved to Australia to pursue a master in sports exercise. During her studies she was also the team manager for the Junior and Senior Australia National team. Vicki brings a huge amount of passion, energy and fun to the pool.

Bianca Hammett
Bianca joins the Sydney Emeralds after a long career on the Australia National Synchronised Swimming Team. She was the only synchro athlete to represent Australia at both the London and Rio Olympics. Bianca has also been the longest serving athlete of the Gold Coast Mermaids club in Queensland. We are over the moon that she has relocated to Sydney and joined our club. Welcome Bianca.

Zsuzsanna (Susy) Haraszty
Susy might just be the reincarnation of a Hungarian mermaid, if such a thing exists. It is almost impossible to get her away from the pool. Susy is a dedicated coach, judge, synchro events coordinator, and swimmer. Her swimmers love her attentive, individualised coaching style that helps her swimmers achieve their best.

Federica Zamboni
Federica started swimming in Italy when she was younger and picked up synchro again a couple year ago when she moved to Australia. Over the past couple years, she has flourished as a swimmer and coach. Federica has a passion for discipline and improvement and she has a great ability to work with athletes of all ages and skills.

Serena Diato
Serena is presently in Australia completing a master degree at the University of Sydney. Serena joins us from Italy and is loving being part of the Emeralds squad. Our program is very different that the programs in Italy and Serena is always bringing new ideas to the program and the pool.

Anna Kravtsova
Anna has been a swimmer with the Emeralds for many years, and we are excited that she has decided to take on the challenge of coaching. Anna’s dedication to the sport is tremendous, she has improved markedly year over year. We expect great things from her as a coach as well. Welcome Anna.

Emma Zucchelli
Emma joins us from Italy, she is presently on an exchange program. She has swam for almost a decade and when she got to Sydney she realised how much she was missing the pool. Emma is full of energy at the pool and a great coach. We wish you could stay for longer.

Benedetta Alderighi
Bene is a national level coach from Italy, she has almost 10 years of coaching experience. Her experience pays off because Benedetta has glowing reviews from all of her swimmers. If you enjoy the water but synchro is not your thing, ask Bene for a class in any of her other areas of expertise – swimming, aqua aerobics or hydrobike class.

Amanda Reid
Amanda has incredible zeal for synchro. Amanda has been instrumental in developing synchronised swimming in Sydney for many years. Amanda has been the head coach of the Emeralds, member of the NSW board, and co-ordinator for Nationals Championships. Amanda is a strong communicator, incredibly organised. She is a terrific asset to the sport.

Kim Davis
Kim started her coaching career in Canada and has been coaching for almost 20 years. Kim has helped grow and develop numerous synchro clubs. Her passion is making the sport popular and accessible to as many athletes as possible
